Gulf Air Completes First Phase of Fleet Renewal Programme On-schedule

Bahrain’s national carrier Gulf Air today announced that it was on target with its fleet renewal programme following the delivery of the eighth A320-200 last month. The arrival of the new aircraft marked the final delivery in the first phase of the airline’s order for 15 A320-200s and brings the number of new aircraft in the airline’s fleet in the last 10 months to ten; eight A320-200s and two E170AR regional jets; reducing the average age of the fleet from 12 to 8 years.

Air Arabia takes off to Montpellier from Casablanca

Air Arabia, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low cost carrier (LCC) announced today the start of services to the City of Montpellier, France from its hub in Casablanca.
The inaugural flight took off today with ceremonies organized at Casablanca Mohamed V International Airport and Montpellier Airport included officials and guests from Morocco and Montpellier.

Emirates A380 to serve Manchester from September 1st

Manchester will become the most northerly point on the world’s A380 network after Emirates Airlines revealed its latest plans for the superjumbo. A 517-seat version of the giant aircraft will serve Manchester from 1st September – as the airline marks a double decade of service to the city.
