Dubai World Central to go live in 2010, says HH Sheikh Ahmed
Dubai, UAE: 16 May 2009
The Dubai Government’s single largest urban land development project, Dubai World Central (DWC) – the 140 square kilometre urban aviation city under construction in south west Dubai – will go live in its first phase of operation when the Al Maktoum International Airport opens in June 2010, said HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman, Dubai Aviation City Corporation.

AVISA acquires one third stake in aeroDAC

AVISA Aviation Safety Systems Ltd has acquired one third stake of aeroDAC Ltd for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition is a strategic partnership between the two renowned leading global aerospace airworthiness consultancies in which AVISA’s MD, Justin Goatcher, will also become Director of Business Development for aeroDAC.

GA Telesis acquires Two Boeing 767-300 aircraft from Japan Airlines
Dubai, UAE: 12 May 2009
GA Telesis announced that it has acquired two (2) Boeing 767-300 aircraft from Japan Airlines (JAL). The aircraft were recently removed from service where they operated on both domestic and international routes by JAL. The 767-300s will enter the GA Telesis disassembly production line in Florida, and the disassembly and remarketing will be led by the GA Telesis Aircraft Systems Group (ASG) and Turbine Engine Group (TEG), respectively.
